May 10 PaintI decided to paint the house, because I am tired of looking at white walls. I have been on vacation so I decided to do something about the white walls. I did the kitchen and the bathroom downstairs. I haven't decided what I will do to the rest of the house but little by little I will get every room in the house. January 20 Its been a long timeHello it has been a long time since I have updated my page. Its just that it has been really crazy here back in florida, life goes way to fast here nothing like Rochester. Well Anthony is getting very big very fast and doing things I didn't expect him to do yet, like throw a tantrum, sit up on his own,well not completly by himself, and finally start sleeping all night. Christmas was great it was here in our home, first time that the whole family including stinky's family. New Years it was stinky, mayi (my sister), Anthony and me. My mom was in NC and Stinky's family were at church, but it was fine because our neighbors had a party outside, like a block party. Anthony will be 4 months old on Monday, and I can't believe it. We are working on the townhouse little by little well not fixing it just buying things to decorate, I want to buy everything but thats not smart to do. In a couple of weeks my dad and Yayo, my grandfather, are going to make a mural in Anthony's room to match his crib decor. I am really excited. Well when its done I'll be sure to post pics. In the pics Im posting today it's pics of xmas, new years and anthony eating rice cereal, and holding his own bottle. Very cool! November 30 Last Day in MNWell its Anthony's and I last day in Rochester , MN. I'm sad that I am leaving, I am going to miss all the people thata I met here. They were very nice and helpful. I am really going to miss my MOPS (mothers of pre schoolers) group that was a really great group and a good support system. I hope that we come back when Stinky finishes school Dec. 2006. Also so Anthony can meet the place where he was born. I mean not many can say that they were born in the top hospital of the country, Mayo Clinic. Thank you to all the Minneasotians for making us feel welcome. November 28 Last weekend in MNWell on friday we took Mayi and Esteban to the airport, and just as I thought its snowed, I thought that it was just going to be a little snow but the closer we got to Minneapolis the worst it got. Esteban even saw a car lose control and fall into a ditch. The road was very slippery, it was scary. Mayi and Esteban were hoping that it would snow earlier in the week but it didn't it snowned the day that the kids left but at least they saw it snow. Its was the first time that Esteban ever saw snow so that ws good. After we dropped them off we did what a lot of Americans do the day after thanksgiving we went to the mall The Mall of America. We didn't buy anything but we did a lot of walking we walked the mall about times. Saturday and sunday we just relaxed at home. Enjoying the last couple of days here in Minnesota. November 24 Thanksgiving DinnerWe had a great Thanksgiving we woke up about 8:30 and got to cooking or more like baking. Marjorie and I made cheesecake thumbprints they are like little bit size cheesecake, fudgy chocolate brownies, chocolate chip muffins, gingerbread muffins, and last put not least my favorite Apple Pie. For dinner we had Turkey as you might know from my last couple entries I had been marinating the turkey since last week thursday and it was worth it it came out juicey and delicious, we also had mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and salad. I am happy that it came out great, I am very happy that my sister was able to help me like she did last year in X-mas. Thanks Mayi just so you know in advance I am going to need your help on X-mas too. November 21 Great WeekendAnthony is doing GREAT, we took him to the Dr on friday to get his shots for two months. He is weighing 15lbs, the Dr was amazed. He is in the 97% which is really good. Since friday he has been sleeping through the night. He goes to sleep at around 9 or 10 and wakes up at 5 am he has been doing it for 3 nights in a roll. Mayi and Esteban are doing good they are waiting for it to snow, so they can use their snow gloves that they bought. lol It is supposed to snow some time tonight and tomorrow. On satuday we went to Minneapolis to see Martha Stewart at the Nocollet Mall, the sucky part was that i drove for an hour waited in line for two hours and didn't get to see her, now I'm stuck with a $40 book thats not signed because i wrote my name in it. lol After that we went to The Mall of America, and around 5pm we went home. On sunday we went to church and to the Apache Mall here in Rochester, I got a hair cut and then we came home got Jose and went to eat at Famous Daves a BBQ restuarant. After that Jose dropped me off at home so that I can relax and he took Mayi, Esteban, and Anthony to Barnes and Nobles, for about 2 1/2 hrs which was great because I was able to take a nap. I am so happy that my brother and sister are here, I am glad they will be spending thanksgiving here with us. November 17 Bath TimeAnthony loves bath time he only cries when i take him out. He likes playing in the water with his feet and hands, splashing water all over the place. I think he looks adorable in the tub enjoying himself, I just look at him and laugh at the silly things that he does. I am going to miss it when I go back to work luckly I am only going to work 4 days a week. I want to spend as much time with him as I can. Amirah and mohammed have a new place to hang out the bathroom since it has been getting cold and i guess here in the winter the tubs gets hot. Amirah sleeps in the tub while Mohammed sleep by the window. I think its pretty funny its a very weird pace to sleep. November 15 Anthony 1st snowJose and I are very excited its going to snow, finally. We are supposed to get 1-3 inches of snow today and tomorrow which is really exciting. I was just listening to the news and its actually going to be 3-6 inches thats great, I haven't seen snow falling in a long long time. We are supposed to have a blizzard gusting winds 40-50 mph. Very cool.
Today I am getting ready for Thanksgiving, Mayi and Esteban are going to come friday to spend a week with me and meet their nephew for the first time. Today I am going to get the turkey that way I can start seasoning it I haven'e decided yet how exactly I am going to do it or what sides and desserts we are going to have. I am going to look at some recipes, maybe even go to the book store and look at Martha Stewarts new cooking book to get ideas. I am happy that my brother and sister are going to be here for thanksgiving I miss them so much and also they can help me cook, or with Anthony. lol November 14 Carpe DiemThat what we did this weekend we seized the day or the weekend. It all started thursday I was looking a a show or a commercial I can't remember about Mount Rushmore and I ask stinky if we could go because we are not far from South Dakota or thats what I thought. Stinky said ok but then we started talking more about going away this weekend and he suggested Dulth, MN which is said to be a really nice and romantic place to visit, so I said ok. Friday i went to the store to buy things that we would need for the drive snacks, etc. When stinky got home from work we started to get ready and just like that we decided to change our plans, Chicago, yeap we decided to go to Chicago 5 minutes before we were to leave to Dulth. Its was great it took us about 5 hours to get there it was great. On saturday after sleeping for 6 hours because Anthony woke up we got ready to explore the city of Chicago. We had breakfast and then we meet up with Stinky's friend fom the marines at The Art Institute of Chicago. We saw alot of great art work Picasso, Monet, Van Gogh, it was unbelievable the collections that they have. After that we went to a restuarant and had Chicago style pizza it was ok, there is nothing like NY pizza. Then we walked up and down Michigan Avenue there was all these stores Coach, Boss, Kenneth Cole, etc, and I can't forget the Hershey store and store FULL of just chocolate, it was awesome, I had some hot Cocoa and a chocolate cookie they were delicious. The only bad thing was that it started to rain and we had to go back to the Hotel. On Sunday we went back to finish taking pictures and then we started on our way back home. We had a great time and hope to do it again, enjoy life, take chances, life is short. Who knows when we'll go back to Chicago but I am glad that we went just to say yeah I've been there. Hopefuly when Anthony gets bigger he can enjoy the trips that we make as a family. Carpe Diem November 03 AnthonyAnthony is doing great on Halloween we went to church and they had games and giving out candy. They even had hot dogs, chips, and soda. It was nice after that we went to Jose supervisors house because he wanted to meet Anthony and see his costume. Everyone that saw him thought he looked adorable. I thought so too. Aanthony is getting very big very fast but doing great he stays up most of the day. he'll take 1 or 2, 2 hour naps. Last noght wasn't to great of a night we were having trouble putting him to sleep. We never really found out what it was but eventually at 12:30 he fell asleep. October 31 Anthony's 1st Halloween !We are really excited today Anthony is celebrating his first Halloween. His aunts from NY made Anthony some pants and a hat, to be like his daddy. We plan on going to church later on today to show his costume off. He looks so adorable. October 24 One MonthOne Month, yeap thats how old Anthony is and I can't believe it. Time goes by so fast, before you know it he'll be asking to borrow the car. LOL! Anthony is doing great he is getting bigger everyday and eating ALOT. He is very alert during the day and is starting to smile and coo. I think its so adorable when he does that, its amazing to have him with us and unbelievable how he changes everyday. I just can't wait till he we can play more and teach him everything that we know. October 21 Our first Real FallMost of my life I have lived in Florida, I was born in NY but when i was 6 my mom decided to move to Florida. Now that we are in Minnesota we are experiencing the seasons and its awesome. Summer finished right after Labor Day, it hasn't been that bad. I actually like the cold weather the temperature is in the 50's during the day and the evening are in the 30 - 40's. Actually it moght even snow on Sunday, not anything to extreme but I think that that's pretty cool. Anyway the thing that I like the most is the changing of the leafs. I think that its looks very nice, hopefully we can enjoy this for a while. See in Florida we only get Hot Season, To hot to go outside Season , Hurricane Season, and Hotter Season. October 16 Thanks BabeWe have had a pretty good weekend, Thanks to Stinky who has been letting me sleep at night while he takes care of Anthony. I have a little of a cold but thats doing a lot better today. Anthony is growing REALLY fast I can't believe. Some of his cloths is starting to fit small on him. I just want to enjoy this time and hope that it doesn't go to fast. October 14 Happy Birthday MomToday Anthony is three weeks old and he is doing great. Last noght he slept almost all night waking up only once a 2am to eat . He woke up at 7:30 am which is great. Now he is wide awake which is ok that way we can have some tummy time. Today is also my moms birthday, so I want to wish her a happy birthday. I wish I was with her to celebrate this great day. Mom I want to let you know that I miss you and I love you. I can't wait till I go back to Florida to be by you. October 12 AloneOn monday my mom left. So now we are all alone. It hasn't been that bad, Anthony and I get alot of quality time together and I love it. We take naps together and have tummy time to strenghten his neck bones. Being a mom is the most amazing feeling in the world. I just hope that I can be the best mom i can be. well i have to go Anthony has to eat now. October 08 They're here.......Well moms here, so things are great. Yesterday my aunts from New York came over and we spent the day here taking a lot of pictures of Anthony at first he was ok but after a little while he was really upset. He was asleep when they came so they woke him up and wouldn't let him go back to sleep, my poor baby, but at least they got some good pictures. Today we plan on going to the mall in Minniapolis, The Mall of Americas, we are going to spend the day there and hopefully take more pictures. Anthony is doing good last night he had a little trouble sleeping, thank God mom is here to help. He is sleeping right now and he looks so adorable. October 06 Grandma is coming.......Today is a good day Anthony is doing great. Also today my mom is coming to visit from Florida and also two of my aunts from New York. My mom is so excited to be meeting her first grandchild, I think she is going to spoil him like crazy, I don't think thats a great thing but hey what are grandma's for right? lol!! She already wants to take him to Disney when we get back to Florida in December, I don't think that will be possible since he'll only be 2 months old. lol! I'm so glad that mom is young so that she can enjoy her grandchildren to the max. I bet that people will think that its her child instead of grandchild. Well I can't wait till I see her, I miss her so much. October 01 One weekAnthony is a week old and he is doing great. He had a little jaundice but he is doing fine now. He sleeps pretty good at night. Last night he was having a little trouble sleeping but after he slept till 8:30. It crazy how much he changes every single day, its like a new baby. We went to the Dr. on friday and he has already gained his birth weight back plus more, babies are supposed to lose 10% of their birth weight the first couple of days he only lost about 5% and it supposed to take them about 2 weeks to gain it back, now he weighs 7lbs 15oz, he weighed 7lbs 8ozs when he was born. We went out last night to have some wings and Anthony was great he slept the whole time at the restaurant even with all the noise. |
